Shape the Future at the AI After School Club

About this program

Learn to think in systems, not just skills. The AI After School Club is a hands-on STEM program aligned with the Ontario curriculum, where students learn how real-world technologies are designed: as structured, connected, and testable systems. Students learn to break problems into clear graph-like structures, where each component has a role and works together as a whole system. This builds strong foundations in computational and engineering thinking using Scratch, Arduino, and project-based learning. Instead of guessing when things go wrong, students learn how engineers work in practice: by observing system behavior through logs, outputs, and step-by-step debugging. They learn to locate problems, isolate components, and fix systems logically. AI is introduced as a supportive tool to assist coding, explain system behavior, and accelerate learning—but students remain the designers and decision-makers. The goal is to develop long-term system thinking skills for STEM, robotics, and future AI-driven fields.
